Cookies
Parts of our Site may use a browser feature called “cookies.” A “cookie” is a small data file that is placed on the hard drive (or equivalent storage device) of Your computer (or similar computing device) when You visit a web site so that the web site can recognize You when You revisit and remember certain information about You. This can include which pages You have visited, choices You have made from menus, any specific information You have entered and the time and date of Your visit. A “session cookie” expires immediately when You end Your session (i.e., close Your browser). A “persistent cookie” stores information on the hard drive so that when You end Your session and return to the same web site at a later date, the cookie information is still available. In addition to session cookies and persistent cookies, there may be other cookies which are set by web sites which You have chosen to visit, such as this Site, to provide us or third parties with information.
We may use cookies to recognize visitors when You return to our Site so that we can customize Your online visit or alert You to new web site features. Cookies help us to learn what content is important to You and what is not. We may also evaluate and improve our content and services and tailor our Site for visitors, based on other information we collect such as IP addresses, pixel tags, and the type of browser or operating system You are using. This information is collected in the aggregate, but we may tie it to Your personal information through use of cookies.
We contract with service providers to provide us with data collection and reports regarding customer activities on our Site. These service providers may use cookies on our behalf and may receive information about Your browsing activity. They may store information such as city, state, zip code, and/or email address on our behalf. Under no circumstances may our service providers use Your information other than in connection with providing services to us so that our Site can become more useful and efficient.
In addition to the cookies we deliver to your computer or mobile device through this Site, certain third parties may deliver cookies to you for a variety of reasons. For example, to help us understand how visitors interact with our Site, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics tool. To learn more about Google Analytics, click here. If You do not want information about Your visit to our Site sent to Google Analytics, You may download an Opt-out Browser Add-on by clicking here. Please note that the Add-on does not prevent information from being sent to us.
Other third parties may deliver cookies (or other tracking technologies, including web beacons or tracking pixels) to Your device for the purpose of tracking Your online behaviors over time and across nonaffiliated sites and delivering targeted advertisements either on this Site or on other websites.
Most browsers are initially set to accept cookies. However, You can disable cookies if You wish, generally through changing Your internet software browsing settings. It may also be possible to configure Your browser settings to enable acceptance of specific cookies or to notify You each time a new cookie is about to be stored on Your computer enabling You to decide whether to accept or reject the cookie. You can also disable or delete the stored data used by technology similar to cookies, by managing Your browser’s “add-on settings.” As our cookies allow You to access some of this Site’s features, we recommend that You leave cookies enabled. Otherwise, if cookies are disabled, it may mean that You experience reduced functionality of the Site or Network.
Additionally, you can visit Digital Advertising Alliance’s (DAA) website and use the opt-out procedure, which can be used to opt-out from the use of data for interest based advertising purposes from Ascend. To access this service, please visit the DAA at: http://www.aboutads.info/choices.
